„What would you do if everything was possible?“
Published on: Mar 22, 2020
Was würdest du tun wenn alles möglich wäre

My desktop background is a picture I took in a bar in Zurich, Switzerland, some time ago. It’s a sentence saying “What would you do if everything was possible?”

Every day, this picture reminds me to think in options and opportunities, not in limits and risks.

Especially in a situation like now – that is pretty challenging – I think that staying positive is very important. We all know the phrase “In the midst of every crisis lies opportunity”. Now we have the opportunity and the duty to embrace it.

Of course, everyone of us knows people who are hit hard by the situation. But still: Complaining is not an option. Let’s make the best out of it.

Let’s use the time to be productive in a different way. Let’s challenge yesterday’s approaches. I had to cancel some very important face-to-face meetings and do videoconferences instead – and guess what: It worked very well. That’s how I got back some 20 hours of traveling time in the last two weeks that I could use for productive work. I could work without interruptions for hours – it was great.

Let’s use the time to study and learn. To think outside the box. To find out if our direction is right before we start again to run faster.

Let’s use the time to find out together if the hydrogen economy can be an opportunity for your company. Yes, I have found out that our hydrogen strategy consulting workshops work very well via videoconference. Of course it is different from being in a room with 10 people. But doing nothing is not an option. The Asian are ramping up their economy again, thereby ramping up their hydrogen projects as well. Either you find a solution for your company or the train leaves the station without you.

If you want to find out what’s going on in the world of hydrogen, please join our next webinar on Wedesday, March 25, 2020 on 5pm CET (8am PST, 11am EST, etc.). The title is “Hydrogen – Can Germany become Number 1?” This is what the German Minister of Economic Affairs and Energy Peter Altmaier wants to achieve, and after the Corona crisis is over, he will certainly re-emphasize this ambition.

Here’s the link: https://event.webinarjam.com/register/1/m079xf7. Of course, the webinar is for free, and during our 20-30 minutes of Q&A you will also be invited to ask your questions. We’re expecting more than 1,000 participants, so please register before we’re booked out. https://event.webinarjam.com/register/1/m079xf7

And in case you read terrible news on the newspaper today, keep your head up and think about the question:

“What would you do if everything was possible?”

Kind regards from my home office

David

PS: In the webinar we will make a pretty cool announcement. We will also announce the next webinar. However, I will tell you already now who will be the next speaker: It’s going to be Jorgo Chatzimarkakis, Secretary General of Hydrogen Europe. And we will also make a webinar on “Funding opportunities in the hydrogen sector” – which might be interesting for you as well, especially in turbulent times like now. So please join us this Wednesday: https://event.webinarjam.com/register/1/m079xf7
